Rest Day – Hopkinton Start Photo

Hopkinton Green - Start Line

Poor quality photo as I was rushed to get going yesterday morning. This am, everything felt good with an easy three miles on the treadmill. I have a feeling warmer climates are coming soon. . .

  1. Warmer climates?! Not up here! Sub-zero for at least a couple of nights this week, but it's supposed to rebound nicely this weekend.

Thanks for the comments on my blog. I'll lick this injury soon.

  2. Thanks for the motivational pics. SIX WEEKS TO GO. We're still freezing our butts off here, with the winds whipping.

  8. Mark, thanks for posting the picture in Hopkinton. I have been blessed enough to have run 3 Boston Marathons (2000-2002), although I am not nearly in the elite category that you are in (I'm 47 and my PR is 3:19 back in 2001 at the Austin Marathon when I was 41, and my Boston best was in 2000 when I was with a 3:29). At present, my running is mainly about staying in shape and I look forward to a marathon later this year to try to qualify again in 2008.

If you get a chance, please visit my running web site, Faithful Soles. I have a categorized and searchable Running Blog Database on there and would appreciate it if you would link your blog to it. I have a few other elite runners like yourself and would love to have you included. Good luck in your training and I look forward to reading about how you did in Boston.
