Distance Run. Saw Big Coyote and Barred Owl

We toured several towns to get 17.25 miles in 2:39 this morning.

Sudbury-large coyote in middle of road, Lincoln-barred owl on tree in front of hemlocks, Wayland-runner with no gloves or hat alongside, Concord she doesn't stop for Cumby's to get fluids, Maynard alterior motive Dunkin Donuts-should not have had them put ice in the water. Walk home for a couple of miles.

Where I grew up they now do this: Race on the Ice! Is that a sport?

  3. Very cool about the wildlife sightings! Owls especially are a rare treat.

  4. The spotter alongside the road tuned us into the owl; he was using binoculars and a telphoto lens. The birders are doing their annual Christmas count. Pretty neat stuff. My wife was more scared of the coyote than it of us!
